Bio treatment of raw coffee beans
VacQPack offers raw coffee preservation that assures the overall quality of green beans against moisture and known insect infestation and its dangers of cross infestation. Undisclosed testing in Peru ran for 9 months have proven that the flush of CO2 assures que quality of the green bean, while it kills the present of insects and their eggs. For a simpler approach, Nitrogen (N2) will be the elected gas for a controlled atmosphere purposes, hence it is capable of replacing the lasting volume of air removed using vacuum and it will perform equally good against plagues.
VacQPack also prevents from evaporation and condensation inside the bags, due to the gas barrier feature of its liner, overcoming all the results using the traditional jute bags. Raw coffee preservation under bio treatment will grant the sensorial origin attributes and shelf life extension. Green beans, also known as unroasted coffee beans (both Arabica and Robusta) requires for an optimal preservation under a relative humidity of around 60% and a relative temperature around 23C.
