This year, not only will VacQPack be attending Seed meets Technology (find us at booth #11), we’re also speaking at the symposium!
#SMT2024 is held 24th-26th September and will focus on innovative seed technology, variety assortment, and adding value to horticultural seeds. As a provider of innovative, bulk-sized modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) solutions, maintaining your seed product’s quality is our top priority.
Seeds are vulnerable to moisture, oxidation, and insect infestation during transport and storage, especially when packaged in kraft paper, cardboard, or cloth bags. Traditional desiccants and conditioned warehouses often fall short in providing adequate protection. However, MAP with a high-barrier liner offers comprehensive protection against these risks.
At the symposium, Michiel Verwerft, Chief Technical Officer at VacQPack, will discuss the benefits of MAP and how applying it right after harvest, processing and drying can preserve seed quality during storage and transport. Here you will learn more.
